Blogger And My Blackberry

In poking around the settings on Blogger I noticed a new feature (or a feature that I have not noticed before). It allows you to set up an email address for sending blog posts. So I set up the email address, added the contact to Outlook and synced it to my Blackberry.

I am sitting on the tarmac at Logan Airporty tapping away on my Blackberry.

I have enough of an issues formatting and spellchecking my blogposts. Creating them on Blackberry is not going to help. But it is interesting to see the two communications media coming together to collect and distribute information.

Now if I can just figure out how to keep out the flotsam below from popping up in the blog post.

  2. Hi there, came across your blog randomly on the search "blackberry blogger" (curious if Google had added a blackberry app for blogger yet) and saw the floatsam conundrum. Here's the solution, entering "#end" (without the quotes) will cut off all text after the #end when posting via e-mail.

  3. 2 possible options about ur signature issues. All are dependant on what is setup by your BES and it's bb policy

    1) Setup an additional email on your bb, via your carriers internet e-mail option. I have my 2 gmail accounts setup, one I use to post images on flickr(I have a 8320), the other I send notes to myself from one account to another. It's nice also to minimize the locations I need to check my e-mail from

    2) Go to mail >options>general options, see if you can change your autosignature? Else the signature for this account is being applied by your BES; and there isn't much you can do.

Thanks for info on the e-mail setup, I've just been blogging via blogger on the browser

Btw, the comment box, isn't bb friendly, the text would run off screen, had to write this in a memo and copy/paste. Currently, posting from Heathrow Airport.

  4. You may already know, but if you put #end at the end of your blog post it will skip any signatures or anything below it
